Frank Gallegos Obituary, The Gallegos family mourns The Death Of Their Father

Frank Gallegos Death, Obituary – Joe Gallegos mourns the death of their Father who passed away today, 24 March 2024 at 2:25 PM at the University of New Mexico Hos, He was preceded in death by his sisters Martha and Dolores, brothers Michael, John Paul, Tony, and Ruben (Gordo), and parents Frank and Eleanor Gallegos.

He had been a longstanding St. Anne parishioner and had been active in the church for a long time.  He helped organize church festivals, provided baptism and confirmation instruction, and maintained the structural integrity of the building. His faith dictated how he lived. You will always be missed, husband, father, grandpa, great-grandfather, and brother.

Joe Gallegos: Frank Gallegos has passed away, and it is with a heavy heart and a great deal of sadness that I share this news with you. The University of New Mexico Hospital was the location where he passed away at 2:25 p.m. today, March 24, 2024. He passed away without any pain or suffering, surrounded by his loved ones and friends, and I have no doubt that he is already piloting some kind of aircraft in the next life at this very moment. This website will be updated with announcements of a memorial service or celebration of life.

Matt Colver: It was only through ballooning stories on Facebook that I became acquainted with him. I really wish that I had have had the opportunity to meet him in person. We were quite close to getting together. It was my intention to present him with a 1971 Piccard Balloon; but, he was required to travel to Colorado in order to personally retrieve it. I had the impression that he was the kind of person with whom I would take great pleasure in spending time. All of his family members and friends are in my thoughts and prayers.

Walter Rollenhagen: In the name of the brothers who are members of the Zeta Gamma Chapter of Phi Mu Alpha at Valdosta State University, I would like to inform you that Brother Gallegos was one of the founding members of our chapter. I say this on behalf of the brothers members of our chapter. In the 1990s, I was responsible for serving as the Alumni Secretary for the chapter, and it was a great pleasure to have a connection with him after that.

That he was able to share with us pieces of his wonderful life by virtue of his presence on Facebook is a blessing that we are grateful for. Both gazing at the colorful pictures of his balloon rides and listening to his stories were enjoyable experiences for all of us. Both of us are going to miss him. Thank you for acknowledging our deepest condolences.
